"The Cure"
A few years ago, I developed something I've called "The Cure" and used it, successfully, I believe, for about a year. But just so that you don't misunderstand, I am not offering this as "a" cure but as an example of "The Cure" that helped me. And since it is a product of my mind, yours, should you choose to develop one after reading this article, will be different.
"The Cure" which is my cure, is offered as information only, not as a cure for your illness. And any cure you might devise upon reading this information will be your cure and your responsibility because it will reside within your mind.
While you've undoubtedly heard or read about the power of the mind and of attitude in overcoming illness, you might scoff at this. So if you doubt the power within you, here is what I would like you to do for the next month to test your level of belief:
- Go to a quiet spot.
- Sit or lie down.
- Close your eyes and relax.
- Once relaxed, spend 10 quiet minutes visualizing yourself developing a serious illness; some form of cancer would be good.
- Continue to do this, preferably twice daily, for the next 30 days.
Does it frighten you?
Well don't really do it!
That's not the point.
I'm just calling your bluff and using it to show that while most everyone will believe in the power of their own negative energy to effect their lives in this way, many will doubt the power of the positive energy that resides within them and their cure.
Yes, "The Cure" can work, and I believe it helped me.
"The Cure" & How It Came About
When my father died, he left behind a lot of books. I mean, a LOT of books. He had books everywhere, and books on just about everything. In going through some of them, I came across a copy of Jess Stearn's 1976 The Power Of Alpha-Thinking - Miracle of the Mind.
It seems the book was a hot seller back then. It did receive a lot of attention and I still remember a talk show on which I believe Stearn was a guest and the concept was being discussed along with the use of biofeedback machines to monitor states of consciousness. I discounted it, at the time, because I had my own notions of what the alpha-state was having lived on a perpetual, natural high for about 4 years between 1968 and 1972. But almost 30 years later, I was curious so I read it and found it wasn't quite what I had once thought.
Stearn's The Power Of Alpha-Thinking - Miracle of the Mind wasn't just about achieving the alpha-state of consciousness but about using that state constructively, while in it, and exploring the powers of the mind within the alpha-state. People were getting some amazing results with Alpha-Thinking, including healing for themselves and others.
If learning more about this interests you, copies of the book, usually the 1977 paperback, can be found on Amazon, eBay, and elsewhere, but here's a link to help you understand the levels of consciousness and what the alpha-state is.
If you do a web search on Alpha-Thinking, and don't also see Stearn's name, you want the sites related to Silva and not Barfield, who gives the same name, less the hyphen, to an entirely different concept. Anyway, for a serious look, read the book. It might even be at your library if they haven't discarded it by now since it seemed like a 70's fad.
What Alpha-Thinking involves is going into the alpha-state, and once there, thinking or working with your imagination in various ways to produce tangible results. Using the methods Stearn describes, you do this in a workshop you create in your mind once you enter the alpha-state.
How to you enter the alpha-state?
With meditative techniques, preferably (they said) monitored with a bio-feedback device until you know what you are doing. It can be a bit involved, but once you learn to achieve it, it's possible to condition yourself to enter it by simply holding your thumb and forefinger together.
Here's a page that will show you how to reach the alpha-state.
"The Cure" In The Alpha-State
So following what Stearn suggested, I entered the Alpha-State and built my workshop. It's very elaborate with plenty of room, but so far, I'm only familiar with a small part of it. He suggests an elevator to go up into it, but I enter mine by going down a wide flight of stairs next to a large set of windows that overlook the seashore. Sometimes I stop to watch the gulls and sailboats or the people on the beach before going down.
I began by using a projection screen, as the method suggests. It's just a screen on which you view whatever it is you want to work on. You are supposed to surround this screen with a white frame.
At the time, I was having some abdominal pain, so I'd go to my workshop and try projecting the area onto the screen to see what was happening while surrounding the screen in a white frame to help affect a cure. I did this twice daily, as best I could, but found it to be too abstract to be projecting and framing. I also tried projecting white onto the problem area instead of using a white frame, but that was still too abstract.
That's when I decided to do something different, to go into my workshop and create a cure I could take. And since Stearn's book mentioned having helpers, I eventually brought in a nurse to administer it, from time to time, mostly for effect.
No more projection, nothing abstract outside of me. I put my cure into a bottle that was labeled "The Cure" and began to use it. And it worked very well.
"The Cure" In Practice
So what would "The Cure" consist of? Since white framing was important in Stearn's book, I knew it had to be white. It also had to be a liquid, and not too runny a liquid. Maybe something that had the consistency of cream.
The bottle my imagination conjured up was unusual, too. A funny old bottle from the 1940's or 1950's with a rather plain label that had a green, hand-drawn border and "The Cure" printed on it in large, orange letters on two lines. This was kept in a part of my workshop that looks like a doctor's office, in a cabinet near an examination table. And there is plenty of it available. It's just there.
So twice daily, usually before going to bed and again before getting up in the morning, I would enter the alpha-state, go down to my workshop, and take the cure. I would just visualize myself getting the bottle from the cabinet and pouring some of it into a small plastic cup while sitting on the examination table, taking a swallow, then lying down and watching or directing it through my system, bathing everything in white along the way.
While the cure was taken orally, it did have special properties and did not just follow the digestive tract but traveled everywhere as directed by my mind.
So I would swallow it, watch it coat my throat and esophagus, and direct it to my lungs, liver, heart and surrounding arteries, and all the organs, sometimes naming them, sometimes just imagining them, with special emphasis on the site of the abdominal pain. Everything would be covered, then I would imagine it draining into my legs, where it would be exhausted.
Sometimes I would let the first swallow travel up into my brain and bathe that in white, then drink some more and continue with the rest of the organs.
I don't remember how long it took, this was a couple of years ago, but the pain symptoms eventually went away and I stopped using "The Cure." I must add, that I continued to use a variety of anti-oxidants and supplements and do some lymphosizing and did not rely on "The Cure," alone. So if you decide to put something like this to use, I would suggest using it in addition to, not instead of, whatever else you are doing. I also see this as a preventative, which is why I would have it bathe all the organs and not just the problem area. It had a nice effect on the brain, too.
